Categories of reality

We think we need to categorize in order to appreciate or understand something. This is reductive, eroding that ability to appreciate the ineffable which is our true genius. Understanding comes not in labels, categories, but in an appreciation of reality in its depth and elegance, in the moment and across time in the past and experience projected into the future.

Do not reduce experience to categories. This is an error. Rather, observe, feel, breathe and appreciate experience and imagination. It is in fluidly navigating these many realities that science and art find their germ and expression.

Reality is deeper than any categories and cannot be captured, only felt. Captured data is only a tool, an anchor to help ground our felt, holistic understanding of reality.
