On Saturday we had our Communication Metrics Laboratory bbq at my colleague Dr Philip Savage’s house. It was a wonderful night! Many old friends turned up and we had lots of great bbq lamb that Phil cooked and amazing steaks that Dr David Ogborn made. The conversation was pleasant, and we chatted up a storm. As the night wore on, we watched CBC’s coverage of the G20 protests and police response. It was great to share such a momentous event in Canadian history with colleagues and students. The party was so much fun… great convo, good wine, good company, tasty cigars and Armagnac, and, lots of blowing soap bubbles.
The night ended with me making a couple of trips to drive people home. I felt bad that they would have trouble getting home because of the TTC and GO stoppages related to the g20.
